GEWOBA continues to build - focus on neighbourhood development

With around 43,000 flats, GEWOBA is the largest housing provider in Bremen. Around 530 employees work on sustainable neighbourhood development in order to create attractive and affordable living space, improve the quality of life for tenants and combine social, ecological and economic aspects. The company therefore supports local social and cultural organisations through financial contributions, rent waivers and personnel support.  
In order to achieve climate neutrality by 2038, GEWOBA is actively driving decarbonisation in five fields of action: housing, business operations, mobility, construction and building environment. It is also investing in the modernisation and maintenance of its buildings and supplementing its portfolio with high-quality new buildings, including barrier-free and wheelchair-accessible offerings.
