As part of the Bavarian Hightech Agenda, ALHO expanded the University of Augsburg with a state-of-the-art office and laboratory building. Constructed from 54 room modules, the facility provides approximately 2,650 m² of gross floor area, including 14 laboratories and more than 40 workplaces for research and teaching.

The laboratories meet demanding S1 and S2 safety standards while offering flexibility for future adaptation. Thanks to modular construction, the project was completed within a tight schedule and with minimal disruption to university operations.

A green timber façade, photovoltaic system, heat pump technology and green roof contribute to the building’s outstanding environmental performance. The project is an excellent example of future-oriented research infrastructure delivered through modular construction.
