We stand for affordable housing throughout Hesse. The Nassauische Heimstätte | Wohnstadt group, based in Frankfurt am Main and Kassel, is a housing and development company in which the state of Hesse holds a majority stake. We have been offering comprehensive services in the areas of housing, construction, and development for more than 100 years. With around 900 employees and a housing stock of more than 60,000 rental apartments in 112 cities and municipalities, we are the largest housing company in Hesse and one of the leading housing providers in Germany.

In addition to the housing companies Nassauische Heimstätte and Wohnstadt, the group also includes the subsidiary MET for media and energy services.

The ProjektStadt brand brings together areas of expertise to carry out sustainable urban development projects for public and private clients. Our urban developers are experts in creating attractive and vibrant city centers.

With the hubitation brand, we combine innovative ideas from people interested in starting their own businesses in the field of housing with our experience in the real estate industry. An integral part of EXPO REAL are the hubitation finals – the conclusion of our yearly contest on the future of housing.

Sustainability plays a major role in our corporate policy. We are committed to achieving a climate-neutral building stock in the foreseeable future. In order to give climate protection in the housing industry more clout, we founded the communication and implementation network “Initiative Wohnen.2050” with partners in 2020. More than 250 housing companies and institutions are already members. IW.2050 is also a co-exhibitor at EXPO REAL this year.
